What happens to a note you send me from the front page.
Stevie and the Become team read what you send to help shape Become. We never sell it or share it. You can delete it at any time with the link we give you.
That is the sentence beside the tick on the front page. Everything below is the same promise, spelled out.
The topic you picked, what you wrote, and — if you typed them — your name and your email address. If you tick the early-access box, the address is kept so I can tell you when early access opens; that is the only reason it is asked for.
Nothing else is collected. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party anything on the page: the note is the only thing the form sends.
I read every one, and so does the small Become team. That is what they are for: they shape what Become becomes.
They are not sold, not shared, not published, not used for advertising, and not used to train a model without asking you separately and explicitly first. A note is never logged as text either — the server records that one arrived, what it was about and how long it was, and nothing of what it said.
In Become’s own database, on the server this site runs on. It is not sent to anybody else, and it is not copied out to a spreadsheet or a mailing tool.
Your address is also counted, for a few minutes and in memory only, to stop a script sending thousands of notes at once. That counter is not a record: it lives for ten minutes and then it is gone.
When you send a note you get a link, once, on the page in front of you. Opening that link shows you a page that asks first — nothing is deleted until you press the button — and pressing it removes the note for good. It is not hidden, not marked as inactive, not kept anywhere: it is gone, and it cannot be recovered.
Keep the link if you might want it. It is not emailed to you, and it cannot be looked up later, because what is stored is not the link but a one-way hash of it.
Become is not offering a clinical or prescribing service today, and the front page’s form is not a way to get medical advice: a note sent there is read by me and the team to shape the product, not by a clinician looking after your care. If something urgent is happening, please speak to a doctor.
The front page is for adults. If you are under 18, this is not the place for it.
